Yes I take photos but a lot of time and work is involved in pushing and punishing the pixels in my images to achieve the look I like.

I was shooting HDR sequences at Millineum Park in Chicago wishing it would actually start raining instead of just looking like it might. Right about then I heard a thunderclap. 30 seconds later, huddled under my umbrella I was framing my shot and watching the reflections start to appear. Once in a while, very rarely - things like this actually happen.

I love the little pathways around the castle that 95% of visitors seem to not see and walk right by. I was laughing to myself a little because as soon as I setup my tripod and checked for proper color balance, several people who were around, came right over, stood next to me and started taking the same shot I was taking. I guess they thought I knew what I was doing. Fooled by a tripod and expodisc!

With over 265,000 square feet of event and interactive exhibit space, this is a wonderful place to visit.

Wow what a very cool truck this was. I wish I had taken even more images of it. It was super clean and had a very reflective paint job. This is also one of the first HDR images I ever took. I've learned quite a bit in the past 10 months and Flickr has been a great source of inspiration and information. Thanks to everybody who comments on my images and who have shared their photography and techniques with me. If you grabbed me by the collar 10 months ago and told me that I would soon have my own photography blog and be writing a book about my photo processing techniques I would have thought you were crazy. I'm looking forward to seeing what the future brings although I'm not really sure what form it may take. I can feel the ground giving way and I just want to go with it.
